Sonnet T

Shorter days are soon to arise.
Wearing jackets from home and school.
Houses smell of  baked pumpkin pies,
And its ever so slowly is getting cool.

Dads and Grandfathers come back from a hunt,
With so much food in hand.
Mom starts at the table with turkey's to ungunk.
Childrens mouths watering at the taste that will be so grand.

Colors outside changing shades.
Green, yellow, red to brown,
Kids are excited about the leave piles to be made,
but then as the day is over, start to frown.

Autumn, oh how sweet and shorter each year,
How you always fill me up with much food and cheer.

:)

  1. I really like this but i think baked would sound better than baking in the 3rd line.
