Young defeats Evil...

Was none so daring to take his kinsmen on.
Heirlooms to treasure, if defeated,
sword of power to be held,
yet none urged him in to battle.
Slay evil king for his stolen treasure was thee task
No foe awaited for defeat.

"No real king have here," spake young athling.
King found his foe-- young age.
Young athlings dragon seized kings breathe.
"Never a king shall be evil to folks," spake him to his new clansmen.

  1. you spelled "atheling" wrong, but other than that is was pretty good. Keep up the good work.

  2. That's neat! I really like it; I can feel the heroics of the subject just pouring through the words.

  3. Mason,
I love how uplifting this poem is! So reassuring...if only politicians these days could mimic this line, " 'Never a king shall be evil to folks,' spake him to his new clansmen."

I really like the line, "yet none urged him into battle." It is like he is born to be a good and true ruler.

    Nice job.
