'If all else perished,
and he remained,
I should still cotinue to be;
and if all else remained,
and he were annihilated,
the universe would turn to a
mighty stranger.'
- Eclipse ♥ / Wuthering Heights
What if everything were to fall threw?
Our plan of being together,
Just ended with me not loving you.
Would it be possible for me to live; ever?
Just the thought brings chills up my spine
and tears start wealing up in my eyes.
I just can't picture it; you not being mine,
for if it were to happen, shall I die?
If I were to, would the world miss me?
For without you, I'm meaningless anyway.
And even if i had the world and not you, I wouldn't be free.
So can you not just come beside me to stand and stay?
Baby, your mine for as long as you wish to be,
Just don't break a heart if it isn't meant to be.
Aw, that's almost sad yet sweet at the same time. it makes me miss William.
ReplyDeleteOh, and I LOVE the title! =D
i LOVE how you took two completely different books, -when it come to time period, setting, content- and put one poem that applies perfectly to both. (: Great job!
ReplyDeleteAwesome poem, Mason. I agree with Sierra and Katelyn. I love the title (such a great play on words) and how you strung the two books together.
ReplyDeleteOne thing that is bothering me..."threw"... did you mean "through?" Usually that doesn't bother me, but here it completely changes everything about the first line, so I need to know...
It is so good mason (:
